Join Us at the Winter Salon

Manor Street Galleries, Plymouth PL1 1TL

Fri 5th December 2025 to Tuesday 13th January 2026

I’m proud to be a member of the Artemis Collective, a vibrant group of established and emerging artists from Plymouth and its surroundings. I’m thrilled to announce that two of my framed paintings have been selected for this year’s Winter Salon exhibition. The exhibition kicks off with an open evening on 5th December from 6 PM to 8 PM. It will then be open daily until 13th January, except on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day.

Manor Street Galleries is conveniently located at the rear of Cafe Momus, in Manor Street, Plymouth.

I’m excited to announce that I will have a stall at the Artemis Cafe Maker's Market on Saturday 6th December from 10 AM to 4 PM. This will be the last market before Christmas. I will showcase a range of paintings, prints, and greeting cards for sale at the event. You can find us on the First Floor, 32 Batter Street, Plymouth PL4 0EN.

A New Little Painting

I’ve created a new little painting featuring Plymouth Hoe and Smeaton's Tower. It’s done in gouache and watercolour on paper. You can find it in my British Craft House shop here.

Supporting Local Art and Artists

Choosing to buy from exhibitions and fairs means supporting local talent. It helps keep the tradition of handmade art and craft alive.

When you purchase original art, you invest in something unique. Unlike prints or mass-produced items, each painting is a one-of-a-kind creation. This makes it a valuable addition to your collection or a thoughtful gift for someone special.

The Importance of Art in Our Lives

Art has a profound impact on our lives. It enriches our environments and sparks joy. When we surround ourselves with art, we invite creativity and inspiration into our daily routines.

Supporting local artists not only enhances our living spaces but also fosters a sense of community. Each piece tells a story, reflecting the artist's journey and connection to the landscape.

Why Choose Original Art?

Investing in original art is a meaningful choice. It allows you to own a piece of the artist's vision. Each brushstroke carries the artist's emotions and experiences. This connection adds depth to the artwork, making it more than just a decorative item.

Moreover, original art can appreciate in value over time. As the artist gains recognition, your investment may grow. This makes original art not only a beautiful addition to your home but also a smart financial decision.

Conclusion

Thank you for taking the time to read about my upcoming events and the importance of supporting local artists. I hope to see you at the Winter Salon or the Makers Market. Your support means the world to us.

Catch up soon,

Chris
